With all the hoopla about autos and where to get seeds, here's a new one: New Breed Seeds in Cottage Grove, OR. They are only available through dispensaries in Oregon, so this will not be directly relevant to most of us, but LuckyAcres will find this interesting, at least!
The most impressive detail I'm finding so far is their guarantee: I photographed their pamphlet, where they promise that you'll get 4 live births or new seeds.
I also emailed them to ask a little about the strain-Timberline, and indica dominant hybrid, and Harold was very prompt, responsive and helpful, even advising me that they had done all of their grows in soil/coco, and was curious to follow how she would turn out in DWC.

Again, I'm sorry these are a strictly Oregon company, for now. But isn't it exciting that here's a new detail in the changing grow-landscape, locally sourced seeds!
So here's this, I'll try not to let it go too long without updates. I like to germinate seeds by sucking on them for a minute, scrubbing them against my teeth, roughen the edges with a hydroton pellet, soak for 12 hours, then into Rapid Rooters soaked in ph'd water. It took her 3 days to pop.
I managed to break off one of the cotyledons. While her tap root was still bent over with the head still in the rooter, I think my temperature probe sticking through the rotisserie humidity dome bonked it just right. She is still growing, although her first node leaves are a little distorted.
