Thinking about coco

So I’m thinking about trying coco. I read the news letter and down loaded the feed chart. My question is how often do you feed? The chart say to give plain water every other but the other says feed every watering. What’s the answer.

I was actually thinking of trying it too on my next auto run. Bought a bag of 70/30 and the GH flora trio. I was wondering the same thing. Was also wondering if you use calmag every time or just with the nutes.

Golly! This one went right up my alley. I have recently made a change in my coco grow that all has to do with watering and nutrients. I'll just call them, together, watering. My brand is Botanicare. After the first ten days, or so, I always use full strength nutrients.
Used to be I would water every 3-5 days, letting the coco get a bit dry between watering. Nutes went a little above recommended.
This last grow I switched to using half the amount of solution, full (not excessive) nutes, every other day, keeping the coco moist, no runoff. I am also using an air stone in the water before adding nutrients because oxygen is key in being able to keep coco moist without drowning your plant.
Was my grow better than previous? Yes. But I also added a bloom enhancer and was obsessive about keeping my pH at 6.0 during flowering.
I guess my point is, there are different ways you can go. I seem to be an oddball in that I use full+ nutrients.
And if you catch Sirius or Nebula in misinformation of some sort, they are receptive to sending them a note. We can tell you what we think they meant, but they will set you straight.

Coco p is the only thing I use. What I found works for me is mother earth 70/30, GH trio, calmag, pH as needed. Calmag is very important. At startup only, 60ml/gallon, for a 3 gallon pot, about 1.5 gallon of pH'd water with the calmag, then dose by the GWE chart. I feed with nutes every day, once a day unless the plants say they have to much, then pH water only every 4-5th day. If they say they are stressed I may double the chart calmag dose for a week or so. Never let it dry out. I try to target 10-15% by volume run off. If the top of the coco gets light brown and dusty they are getting to dry. For me this is the easy way to go. Just measure out the required nutes, calmag and pH added to water, then yeat it in.

I've only used coco indoors. 5 grows, all went quite well.

I feed between 3 and 5 times a day depending on plant mass and pot size. Every water is a feed around half to ¾ strength of manufacturers recommended nutes.

I measure EC, pH & water temp every feed. I've automated feeding from a tank and done it manually. Manually is a PITA but should produce better plants.

My flower room allows me to grow out 4 to 5 plants after 50 to 70 days of veg and each will produce from 1lb of premium bud to about 1.4lb...any more and the bud is no longer premium as temps and RH will go too high.

Edit. Pot size 7 to 13gal. Pot size doesnt determine yields, veg time and fertigation does. Calmag every feed or every 2nd feed to around 2 weeks before to 3 weeks after flip depending on N levels as measured by color of leaves. PK supps after stopping calmag, around half strength again.

When mixing nutes I use a high speed mechanical paddle in a drill for maximum aeration of the water. The solution is fully aerated and completely mixed.

I only do runoff about twice a week of around 15 to 20%....so a pot will get 20 to 30 feeds and only 2 runoffs.....sometimes I may give a full water only flush around the flip if I feel like it.

My plants have been quite N heavy every grow so far but typically very little to no nute burn where it counts so not sure if I've been managing that in the best way. But im happy with the results.
