The Ganja Ged Thread

Glad it made you smile!

Thank's I actually have a note here to ask that very question.

Everything says Micro first but then it does say if using Armor Si and Cal, add the cal first and now with a TDS meter I got all these new numbers to play with lol.

I was worried about the other nutes dropping out of solution if I changed the order.

OTOH, my res is pretty constant, 5.5 at change, 6.5/6.7 at next change and the fluctuation is good.

Yeah it's nice to be able to measure everything :) I grow in soil but I use <15ppm water to start with and ph 7. Then I add tap water (750ppm) till it gets around 100ppm then I add calmag and then bloom (botanicare) and the ph ends up being 6.5. When I add the bloom first it measures 6.2-6.3

GG I ain't smart enough to figure out how to put my posts in the right place so forgive me. Your plants are looking fine man , you know all those tricks to ,you old freak you. As for YES , first time I ever saw them was with Jethro Tull right after I got of the service, end of 71 or first of 72 in nola, they were Tulls back up band ,but dude they were awesome, saw them many times after that, who is your favorite band.? Again man your plants look fine.

GGed, THAT is a very helpful little article. I have used it to help get rid of root rot, and I'm going to have to do that tomorrow with one little plant. I copied and saved that article.

Yay I contributed in a helpful way! :)

Got the first flood tray up and running today, well mostly. Need to get a nipple fitting for the supply line to the pump, but I was able to test for leaks and basic function and all good! Now to wait for payday and get the stuff for the frame!

The decision now is do I really need 2 flowering trays... each tray is 36x17x6 and 41 quarts. That should be enough to run 3 plants fairly easily with training and maybe 6 SOG style. The Tent is 3x3 so I can run 2 trays perfectly. The problem with two trays is I'll need a bigger reservoir which means more water. Bah, decisions decisions.

Also my Smart pot's arrived so now I can transplant the vegging plants.

Kinda a rough couple of days, having increasred memory issues and the hallucinations are increasing too. Neurologist appointment is coming up in a couple weeks, I'm guessing we'll increase my dopamine and add a memory helper that I've passed on so far. It will only extend the inevitable be about 2 years, but that's better than nothing.

Thinking a lot about my wife today

Yes, GGed, that article was very, VERY helpful. The setup is sounding really good, and--

Your wife is thinking about you too, and loving you. Straight soul love.

Thank you for the thoughs all <3

I'm pretty open about what is going on with me, not fishing for sympathy or woeisme, but because this is a difficult disease to deal with and if me being open about it helps someone else deal with it or helps a caregiver understand, or gives them someone to reach out to, then I've done my part.

LBD can be very embarrassing, you don't want people watching you twitch or drift off during conversations, or asking them the same question every 5 min because you don't remember the answer or even asking in the first place, etc. I know my condition is hard on all my kids but esp. my youngest daughter and her huband who moved in with me to help out after the Dr's suggested I shouldn't be living alone any more.

I had and have really a good life. I got to spend 32 years with a wonderful woman raised 3 kids, owned and sold a couple of small businesses, own my house and a couple of rental properties, and although not "rich" with the kids managing the properties they make some extra money and I have a steady income. We pretty much got to retire in our 40's and you can't beat that, even living in the middle of a corn field, lol. Maybe not "rich" but I'm as wealthy as a man could reasonably expect.

I could be a lot worse off all things considered, not the way Jeanette and I had it planned but like the song goes, It rarely turns out the way it does in the song.

But enough of that it's a new day in the garden! We got better things going on :)

Thank you all for the kind thoughts :)

Slow getting started today, we'll see how much I get done in the garden today. Should have some pics today too!

Going into week 2 of Flower.

Mama is going ok, I did early traing but then just let her go and just took clones. You can see she didn't get rotated enough and she really needed some continual training, but I wasn't planning on flowering her.If she ends up producing well I'm gonna have to tie branches up. The main trunks are solid but the newer growth is kinda small.

If you see leafs that are cut, that's part of my defoliation, often I'll cut leaves in half or whatever to clear bud sites.

And the stretch is on!

The hydro ladies are in beautiful shape, I think. Man if only I had stuck to the original plan and vegg'ed them another 2 weeks. Oh well it's all good,

Same for the 2 little gals in the back, more time would have been awesome.

I'm so looking forward to the flood table. And seeing the DWC in action is great. If only it had more flexibility I'd stick with it. But the flood table is going to suit me really well I think, a good balance between soil and full hydro.
