SOIL The Fruit Basket auto runRun

Mango smile. She's starting to really throw frost and stink. Cheese and feet right now. But she is stacked up with nice nugs. Looks like she's going to take her time. Definitely a 90+ day plant I think. Who's a stinky girl? :p

I just finished an auto run in 7g pots w/ super soil. Yield was good just over a pound from 4 plants, but it was a battle to keep them in my 3x4 tent and some foxtail due to hight issues. I’ll be running 5 g again next run

On another not we had a job today at Andrews AFB in air force ones hanger and she was there. Beautiful jet. We could literally sneeze on the thing but we're told whatever you do do not step across the red line on the pad and they meant it. Cool experience and they hooked me and my crew up with some presidential schwag. They had a crew of 12 people polishing the thing. Sorry no pics they take your electronics when you enter.

Scarlet sunset says I'm done. Got all cloudy and about 20% amber and she's stopped drinking so I stripped her fans off. Gonna chop her Saturday that will make 65 days for her. She sm

nd chop day for scarlet. Giving her the chop before I see too many amber and she's starting to foxtail. Soil was a tad too hot for her but that's growing in soil. Still should pull a couple of ounces from her. She held that bubblegum smell to the end and threw some nice purps.
trizzlers and mango are throwing on the weight. Mango is starting to transition into a sweeter less funky smell. Trizzlers is holding onto the pinesol smell still. Got a little light burn showing on mango so I raised the light to 11".
Still only creek water. I'm holding off on making them tea till they ask for it.
Bud porn incoming.

Happy Monday. Three healthy ladies left and one in the drying box. Wanted to touch on a few things I am observing during this grow. First my compost seems high on the nitrogen side this go around. All 4 have more than enough. In scarlets case a little too much. Her fan leaves were very dark and leathery. Trizzlers is dark green but barely any burnt tips. She was very leaf heavy during veg and after 3 weeks flower I have been thinning her out some. Mango and braapzai love it. I did mix a lot of fish scraps and crab shells in the heap early fall so I think it didn't cook quite long enough. I'll give scarlet another chance on a smaller pot but gas reaper is vague on the plants characteristics. And my fault too for not knowing if it had the ability to grow into a large pot and still trying. Trizzlers and mango both state the plants can get big and they did. Both may be 90 + day plants.
second I have been keeping an eye on my waters pH and I always have but this run I used creek water only and it ph'd at 6.25- 7. Mostly 6.5 or above though. I supplemented the soil with dolomite lime but can't break myself of the habit. Plus it is good to know in case of problems. My well water tests 5.25-5.5 and even with lime I've run into lockout issues authough the formula is a work in progress.
Maybe next run I will give one plant well water only and do a comparison run.
Was happy to see that scarlets planter soil was still full of earthworms when I dumped it out. Shows the soil was alive and healthy. You want good living soil? Go to your local bait store and get a dozen red wigglers and dump them in your planters soil. They are nothing but awesome. All the beneficial bacteria you need for 2.99 a dozen.

One down three to go. Did a 5 day dry and trim. Used the cardboard box method. Got them at 55% rh. I like them on the drier side. Final weight 61.75 grams. My smallest auto so far. Still over 2ounces of some sexy frosty bud. Nice red hues in the buds and super frosty. The smell is transitioning to that classic cherry cough drop smell of black cherry punch. Give it at least a week and I'll give a smoke report. She's photogenic to the end.

Happy Friday. Day 71 for trizzlers and mango smile. Day 56ish for braapzai. The thickening continues. Both the older ladies show no sign of letting up. Going to be a hefty harvest me thinks. Mango finally shed that foot cheese smell and is smelling sweet and tropical now. Much better. Trizzlers still is mild on the stank and smelling like pine and lemon. Braapzai smells fruity. I was expecting a chem smell giving her cdlc lineage. Anyhew bud porn incoming.

What's the story with the plant in the orange container with the sprocket, motorcycle and exposed roots?

Ckbrew just a little fun during the cold winter cabin fever days my friend. Called Braapzai. Got another journal on it here. Surprised you would ask since you're a regular lurker. I'm sure you've seen it. I used to race dirt bikes until cancer. Will again just taking a bit to get my strength back up to par.
