HELP! The effect of reducing/increasing the amount of light during flowering

Hi there,
I have 8 plants in veg that need to go in flower asap, because they are becoming too large! Yet I have already plants in flower and that tent is overcrowded already, and it will stay that way for the next 4 weeks. Now the idea is to start flowering in veg tent, too, but the light i have in there is too weak. It's a 150W LED, whereas in the flowering tent I have 2x250W LED.
I want to swap one light, so in VEG tent I'd have 250W LED (to use to START FLOWERING) and in flower I'd reduce from 500W to 400W for the final 4 weeks of flowering. Then I'd put all 3 lights together to finalize flowering of the second crop.
Is that an awfully bad idea, as I think I can't let the small ones grow out, the'll give me grief later on i guess.
Please don't say I should get another light, as that's not possible at this stage.

You can moved the lights around anyway you need to with the only effect being the yield from whatever amount of light you have on the plants.
Make sure to adjust the height/distance based on the new combined LED's for each tent/light combination.

Do not however, change the timer of the existing flower tent- keep it the same.

I will move lights around "at will" to control heat and do what is best for the entire grow!

what do you mean by "screwing up"? Lesser than possible yield, or stressing them out so much that they might hermie on me? I don't have the time to clone, I don't want to produce another crop beside these two that are running now
 
I am going to assume that you sized your lights for the size of your tent. If you remove one of the lights from the flowering tent you have cut the footprint of the light in half. This means that the plants on the outside edges may not get enough light, which could mean lower yields, longer flowering time or hemis. But if adding the small light to the flowering tent is enough to make up the area not cover maybe things will be okay. Go back and check the coverage of each lights.
 
Sux when you run out of room, don't it? I think the focus on where you're light needs to be are the girls finishing flower. I would clap together all of the lumens I could to bloom your new batch and then move them into your flower tent. Guess your problems could be worse...

Your plants look amazing! I think your idea will work well. It maximizes both tents. Your flowering tent is beautiful with so many colas, and those buds will hopefully be ready to harvest in the next few weeks!

On the topic of these plants and lights, I did the swap. I'm pretty sure it won't compromise the flowering plants much, and to be honest, even if I end up with a slightly smaller yield, it doesn't matter, this grow is entirely for private use, it shall last me a year or few anyway. Btw, I posted in the G+ community, too. And this way I'll save another few weeks of the entire project and that's a positive, too!
