My science education (and reg. education) goes about as far as the baking soda volcano. I'm still confused and wonder if the seeds we buy are weed or hemp and how to tell the difference. Do i grow a plant and eat it raw to see if I get a buzz? everything I see tells me to decarb weed before making edibles but if I hafta do that is it really weed? Guess i shoulda stayed in skool but at the time that was not an option

Well, I went to college and am pretty smart, if you ask me! And I've eaten raw dope. Don't take no college boy to know that shit is nasty and don't get you high. Eating decarbed dope is more nasty but do get you high. Either'n'll make you damned near choke! If you just have to eat raw something, make yourself some dry ice hash with fresh bud and eat the hash. You can wash that down with water.
The difference between hemp and our colloquial marijuana is THCa content. It's all cannabis- but only some get down with >.3% THCa. Anything under that and the feds don't care.
What about CBDa heavy dope? A little research says the law doesn't care if you're growing CBDa or THCa. If you're growing >.3% THCa, you're growing dope, not hemp.

This reminded me of what we would do back in college in the mid 70's with the weed which was a world different from what we have now. Take the flowers, clean well, grind it up to a powder. Then put in a dry pan on a hot plate and heat is until it gave off "that smell". In hindsight it was the terps blowing off. Immediately remove from heat and toss in 1 tbs of butter. Stir until melted then pour in a shot glass. Cool in frig or freezer if you are impatient. Then spread it on a cracker, then spread on peanut butter and chow down. Got us so stoned and for so long that I wonder why we bothered to smoke it. Today I decided to try is with some of my good flower which could not compare to that old ditch weed from back then. I ground it, heated it, buttered it, cooled it, made the crackers and ate it. It works so much better hang it was 50 years ago. Just starting to get intimate with it. Funny thing is it gets harder to type. I have to correct things and I tend to start reading the sentences backward to figure out what am trying to say, you see and this gets confusing. Been looking at the pix from Artemis. I swore I saw a steal your face in the pix of the far side. So growing dope only makes sense cus why waste your time on anything else. This typing is getting bad so many red squiggles that I have to go back ot and fix. then some on them sont seem wotth the effort. But thats not what I came here to say. and that is why mess with a good thing? Like the prime flowers that get procuced are way better than fome lame ass gas s tation BS. And that is all I have to say about that. except I poem I learned long ago.

My issue is this. If MJ is legal to grow and sell in a particular state, then why only THCA weed is being sold? Where is the legit MJ in Illinois? We talking 20% THC and 20% THCA. Why is Illinois limited to less than less than .7% THC? I need a medical card, a doctor's reccomended diagnoses, have to go through so many hoops to purchase and grow, submit a photo, pay fees, background check, multiple documents, for THCA weed which is avaliable at any gas station or head shop? That's Marijuana, not hemp. Why can't I purchase this in a legal state? Think about that real hard. Why only THCA weed? Conoco gas station has THCA weed lol....I need a med card for that lol......Where is the real MJ in Illinois? Someone please link me a dispensary that sells legit MJ, not hemp......I can't find one. Smell that, I smell it. Smells like bs to me......

I almost lost my apartment because of the fuckuptidness of the federal vs state marijuana laws. They are 100% diametrically opposed. 's why I'm not around as much. I don't do all the things I did but still have dope wisdom that wants to come out. Even being schedule III and technically being able to get a prescription, it is still federally illegal. Still a lot of stupid shit to work out, mostly which companies will overthrow and control the industry for maximum profit.

I am not supposed to (admit to) grow dope or use dope until the political fuckwads get their poop in a group. Feds have every right to say who their money gets spent on. I get it.
Now, they need to figure out how one of my doctors can prescribe dope for me. But that goes back to my long-standing argument about how you can't prescribe weed like you do aspirin. You know with some degree of certainty how much aspirin is in a 500mg aspirin. You have no idea how much limonene is actually in that ounce of lemon haze your doctor says'll have you jumpin' and clickin' your heals in no time. I'll give my left one for a federally honored prescription for SFV OG.
Maybe this is where concentrates will gain momentum. You can have a jar of distillate with an accurate terp and canna- profile.
