T5 and Germing Seeds

I bought a T5 HO fixture to Germ seeds and early vegging. I've never used a T5 before. How FAR do you recommend keeping the light from the Top of the Peat Pot?

And how long should I veg with the T5 before switching over to my Reg grow light? (These will be Autos)

Does 6 inches sound about right? Closer?

That's probably about right. Not from my knowledge lol- I'm remembering a seed/clone station with a little T5 on a 7in dome on Amazon.

Hold your hand under the light if it gets hot your to close I usually have mine about 6 inches away ,also I tried the new Hortilux super veg bulbs what a difference they make ,expensive but worth it, This is the first grow I'm running veg and bloom in the grow room I normally do veg under t5s until bloom
