Switching to 12.12

I read on gwe that you can switch to budding stage any time u like, doesn't matter how big ur plant is, is that true? I have two plants that are 1 month old which are not very big , and not even showing sex yet, can i switch to 12 12 to start flowering?

yes you can flip them any time you want, but if a plant is too young it will keep "vegging" until it reaches maturity, your plant right there seems a little small but could theoretically go into flower and you will experience it as a longer flower period where the first weeks development looks like its not flowering, better to have mature plants ready to reproduce

ive grown 12/12 from seed and the plants got bigger than the one in the pic before flowering

Nice looking plant! I find that the longer you wait for the plant to show its sex, the more likely it will be female. Also keep in mind that as the plant grows, it will grow more / bigger colas which = bigger yield. You can flip a plant any time you like, but if it's not mature enough you won't get much, if any, bud at all.

ive got another serous problem,
i have 2 plants, this one (in picture) is doing fine, but other one is overfeeded with curled down tips and not doing good,
Do different strains need different anounts of nutrients? Ive done all the same things to those plants

Yes different strains will handle nutrient levels differently.
