Surgeon General Warning on Young Brains

I try to catch a few news items before heading out to the salt mine and this story pops up about the probable issues of legalization. The surgeon general says that developing brains should not use weed. WTF, we are not legalizing for kids, we are talking ADULTS.,, Why is this band wagon so easy to jump on? Then of course, every old fart politician who governs by headlines, screws up the process. If you get to see it, it’s on NBC with Kate Snow...she’s only the messenger so be kind.

I mean i guess i agree with the surgeon general, it shouldn't be used by kids who's brains are still developing. But that can be said for alcohol too. Every time someone tries to give the "weed is evil" speech i ask them how it's worse than alcohol. They try usually to say something about it being addictive or it leads to heavier drugs and i remind them that alcohol is the same way. Then i start talking about people killed by alcohol vs weed...spoiler, it's lopsided. Eventually they come back to the argument that, well pot is illegal (it is where i am). It's also illegal to carry wire cutters in your pocket in some parts of my state. So does that mean carrying wire cutters is as bad as heroin or armed robbery? Today, politicians will agree with any view that makes them look better to their target demographic (or base as some call it).
