Supercropping in early flower?

The preferred method is to supercrop in veg, so the plant has time to recover. But what if a single plant in a multi-plant grow really takes off in the second or third week of flower, to the point that you run out of room with the lights, negating all the work that went into creating a level canopy? I had to do this today, supercropping 3 branches on one plant. All three started turning up towards the light within a few hours, so I think, technically speaking, I did it right. Aside from caring for the newly bent portions of the stalks, what should I be watching for? Would I be better off chopping the tops of this plant to get back to a level canopy?
 
I wouldn't top in flower.

From my experience, supercropping doesn't slow them down a bit. They just form the "knuckle of love" where you bent them. Supercropping is fine in flower IMO.

When you rupture the tissue from supercropping it leaves what I call a knuckle. It's the plant repairing the damage.

I thank you all for the tips. I'm not certain these will actually stand back up, they were all bent 90* or more. However, the tips certainly started to bend back up towards the light. I think this time around, I'll leave them as is, without further restriction, just to see what happens. I read voraciously, but lessons tend to stick with me better by actually doing. Everything I've read says get your basic grow dialed in before experimenting with things, but I can't help myself, sometimes. :D

Indefinitely. As long as the plant is vibrant and healthy you could supercrop the same cola multiple times. You would need to give them time to recover and heal the damage before cropping the same cola. In my pics you can see I only cropped about 15-20 degrees. I've seen 90 degree bends as well that heal up and produce a nice, fat, sideways growing cola.
