HELP! SuperCrop vs Main-Line (Manifold)

Skunkster

New member
I need advice. Which technique is better? SuperCrop or Main-Line. I have experience with Main-line, it produces a nice even top and big colas but does add a few weeks to my grow. I read about Supercrop but have not tried it.
Pros and cons of each?

5 plants: Mimosa Orange (x2) , Do Si Dos 33 , Wedding Cake, Cookies Gelato
room: 10 ft x 8 ft
lights: HLG 300 R SPEC (x2) , HPS 150W (x2)
10 gal smart pots
Ocean Forest soil
Fox Farm Trio

Hi Skunkster: I use them both, and I'd never say that one's superior to the other: it's always going to depend on what the grower needs to do.

I always mainline to get good strong growth of each cola, and then when the colas stretch too tall, I super crop them so that they continue to grow horizontally. This always produces the best, phattest bud.

Super cropping is used only to save buds that outgrow the space. It's not a technique to maximise yield from a plant such as topping and manifolding which can also be called cropping.

They're techniques for different solutions, one for a problem, the other for yields.
