Sub 0 Temps should I switch from 1500W LED to 600W HPS for heat?

I am in Southwest Michigan and this is my first grow, I planted 10 days after it was legal. It is currently 11 degrees out side right now. Wed 1/30/19 it the high temp is forecasted at -6 with wind chills dipping to -38 degrees. I was give a grow tent and everything to go with it. It came with a 600W HPS light and bulbs. I bought a 1500W LED and never used the HPS. I have a several WIFI plugs on my LED, Heater, and Dehumidifier. I can measure the energy usage from my phone. I am coming to the end of my 3rd week of flowering. The LED is using 257W for 12 hr for a total of 5KW total each day and the heater is using a total of 7KW, I think that the HPS light will likley heat my 4'x4'x72" with that only running and use less power or the same. I have read a ton of websites and posts and have seen some people say that HSP during late flowering is better for the bud development than LED. I also have a 2x4x60" tent coming and can use the 1500W for the Veg tent. (I ordered Gelato and Strawberry Banana, I am excited to get them growing!)

Below is a link to the power plugs I am using. There is a power strip I will buy in the future, but I love being able to monitor my tent all the time. I also have a WIFI camera and Hydromotor in the tent. I have a lot of time at work and I like to watch the kids grow. It also has a timelaps feature so I will have a time laps of the whole grow seed to harvest.

Just to make me have a better day, Thursday the electric company called and the have a scheduled outage today from 8AM to 2PM for some upgrade. 8:05am the power went off, I turned the heat up at 5AM to 80 and had all my space heaters in the basement going it was up to 75 in the whole basement when the power went off. Hope they don't get too cold or anything messing up the flowering 12/12 schedule. The light is on from 6AM to 6PM, so they were on for 2 hr and hopefully they come back on soon.

Also does anyone know why we can't post pictures? There is a thread about it but nobody knows why?
 
I’d definitely go with the hps. Firstly because it’s much powerful and you will see a massive difference. (It will consume more than double electricity)
if you can keep your tent on the right temp with the hps, you will start using your led only in veg :)))
 
HPS no doubt, but I have also used a small oil filled heater that help circulate the heat. I now grow DWC, so I use a aquarium heater for the bucket, and not worry about the grow space (small contained area).
 
I switched from a 1000 hps to a 630 Lec ,this is my first grow with the lec but I like it so far. the hps will definitely keep it warmer ,I use leds in my autos room and I get some very good bud so I wouldn't worry about yield , I have also used a ceramic heater turned away from plants and on a thermostat to save power
 
Sulker, I'm wondering about the impact on the plants if you switch from one kind of bulb to another. After HID, LED may burn the plants... unless you can dial down the light...
 
oldjarhead100 I just mentioned it because the instructions that came with my LED grow box said not to start plants at full strength LED if they have been under some other kind of grow light, but to turn the dimmer up gradually as they adjust.
 
They are doing great and the HID is more than heating the tent. it is staying around 72 degrees on and I have the heat up in the house and temp is around 65 at night with light off.
