Storing bud

Once cured for a month or two, I vacuum seal mine in small quantities and put them in the freezer. Last batch lasted about a year and a half..still good. Don't handle it when its frozen, thaw it out the day before.

I was thinking 2 gallon buckets. I'm assuming the check valves are available at a big box store? Do you seal the area where the hose pierces the bucket?

If I didnt have the system I have I would use those. That reminds me I think I have a couple of bags stashed away, I should check and see how they do after a year or 2

Well that's a lot of work for the first few weeks, but then?

If you don't have to burp them wouldn't that compromise long term storage?

I’d been looking at amazon for Mason jars and they are more expensive. I just checked Walmart and see they are 1$

One thing about jars they take up more space. If the bags keep humidity stable and I don’t have to keep checking and they take up less room those are positives for me

This is how I store mine.
Lasts for years.
Wide mouth mason jars.
This is in my basement and it's cold down there.
I also have about 6 boxes filled with bud and a couple of trim and behond these I have a dry area, currently two plants hung there for edibles

Space is not an issue. Its also my dry room and I have a couple of veg cupboards down there too.

The price has come down since I last looked, $35 for 5 bags that hold a LB each is not bad. What does quart jar hold, about 2 ounces as I remenber. Can you buy 8 jars for $7 and you dont have to burb,
