Storing cured bud. I cured and let humidity get to zone and vacuumed sealed mason jars. I keep them in a backpack. So today I went to get some and see the hygrometer is at 70! WTF how did humidity go up? ⬆️ m sure I was less than 62 when I sealed the bottles

Your bud might not have been as dry as you think when you put it in. If you mean you actually vacuum sealed vacuum sealable mason jars, you are drawing moisture from the buds, and it has no place to go. Keep burping and it should go down. Might even consider leaving your jars open or spreading out your bud for a little extra drying.
 
I just looked back at your posts. Are you jarring the same fine-looking dope you were showing in your 'Yet another harvest question' thread?
 
Did you leave them in the jars for some days and monitor the RH after burping them?

The RH always climbs in the jars initially, sometimes slowly which means its getting close to stable. Once it stops climbing seal them for long term.

Some of mine still climb after a week of stable at 63% 9 months later it can be at 68%...I just do a dry air changeover to drop it back again.
 
Answering all above questions-
Buds are from great grow about 4 months ago.
dried in closet hanging, then put in bottles and burped. When rh was in range then vacuum sealed.
I don’t think it’s hygrometer as it happened in 4/10 jars.

think prob sucking moisture during sealing and will watch more closely
and do dry air change in future.

After dry air change do you think it’s ok to fill more of the jar?
I am running out of bottles and only filling mason jars about 80% now
 
If you've finished curing them and there like 63/64 or lower. Sure. You won't have an issue. Some of my jars are 40% full some are 95% full depending on bud density.

I leave hygrometers in them for long term storage, like one in each jar from different batches/plants just to keep an eye on what's going on. Sometimes I have to burp em again.

Jars are cheap.
 
I cure it 2 & 5 gallon buckets with an air pump on a timer, it works great if you have a lot of weed to cure. When I set up the RDWC I got my disensary license but I just dont have the time or patience to deal with the general public
 
Can you expound on that bucket/timer? I'd like to find a suitable alternative to burping jars.
 
I saw someone that used quart mason jars, i prefer not to use anything clear even if its in a dark closet. The 2 gallon buckets work great for me. But I will say I do miss the smell of an open jar so I cure a little in a jar just for the small when I open the jar

nice, can you share the 2 gallon buckets you use?
