Storage well on vacation

Morning team,

Chopped down 3 plants a week ago. Harvested 73,73 and 71 grams. Not a bad haul at all. I put them in the mason jars last night to start the aging process. Question is, I leave tomorrow for a 5 day vacation, should I leave the lid on tight or crack the lid a tiny bit?

Thanks

Well thats bad timing! Any family that would be willing to go open the jars for you?

If not, I personally say to leave them out on cardboard... yes they will be dry.... and it will be a longer cure, but it beats molding in a jar.

What are the conditions, if you leave them opened or out?
The closer you are to dark-70f with 60% rh- the less you have to worry about.

That's how I dry mine to is in cardboard boxes, an brown grocery bags, never any problems either. But I did move the buds around a little bit every day, But after 7days, they should be fine, but if you put them in jars they are gonna mold quickly, touching each other, even with the jars loose.
I've had the same problems before, where I couldn't burp them, and I just put the buds seperate from each other, and in a cool dark place on cardboard, or brown grocery bags, and they were fine.
I wouldn't have a breeze blowing on them
either.

Good Luck. Yeah that mold is hell.

I dont think humidipacks will work in this siuation, although yes they do drop humidity, they dont allow the fresh air to get to all of the plant matter. He still needs to burp the jars and allow the stale air out. The part I would be most concerned with is the plant matter touching.

The bud is pretty dry. I hung it for 8 and 9 days. Felt very dry when trimming last nights and placing in the jars. I leave tomorrow at 4:30 am and won’t be back till 4:30 pm Monday.

OK- read your comment about drying above-
You will be fine with them jarred and the lids cracked a bit.
Curring may stop, but you won't loose them to mold/mildew assuming the rh is not really low.

What works best for me - hang to dry (full plant for 12 days) as you leave for vacation. (next time).
