spaghetti sauce glass jars work well enough to give away bud in, wouldn't replace canning jars though.
 
Since I drink the same coffee, I know the lid does not seal very tightly on the plastic folgers containers. I'd look for a glass alternative...or go to a second hand store and buy some more cheap mason jars.
 
Farmall do you have to leave those on the Jars or do they leave the lid on ,I thought of those but didn't go with them because they are kind of expensive
 
No, you go from gar to jar and seal it. Then store them away. They come for the two size lids...regular and wide mouth. They are only adapters to vacuum the air out. Then , the jar stores as usual, flat lid and ring
 
Got a couple of these that you purists have to like and the recyclers too. Hydrometer fits in the top with a spot of glue. Have fun fellow growers !!

I'm saving all my tall coffee cans for a auto run test have 3 so far they are taller than my 1gal black ones. Going for 9 in time:)
 
We get folgers at Costco they are taller and i'm going to run autos for fun in them waiting for 9 I've got 3 so far. Bigger than a 1 gal black plastic.
