Status check for my Auto's

Strain - Death Star OG (2 plants) and Jack Herer (3 plants)
Medium - Soil (Fox Farms Ocean organic)
Started April 1 indoors and moved outdoors June 1
First time grower

Hello,

I am looking for opinions on my plants. I know they must be getting close to harvest but I'm still not seeing much cloudy and no amber trichomes. The plants fan leaves are dying which I hope isn't part of a bigger problem. I have been flushing for two weeks and watering everyday as we are in a heat wave right now.

One other question. I currently have my pots in a well shaded area under trees to protect them from the heat (38C 104F day time temps) this will be their third day in the shade. Should I give them direct sunlight for part of the day or just wait until the heat wave ends?

Last question. Is the process of the trichomes something that happens quickly or is it a slower process?

I would say you are in the harvest window - judging by the last pic.

Overall they look pretty good - BUT - notice that was a big but? - first 2 pics your main cola strikes me something odd in the way part of it is BROWN - bend that main cola in both your hands to see what color is inside - brown is bud rot. Green is good.

If it's brown inside - cut that cola now .

And sometimes it seems like it's all a slow process.

Looks like you are right. Not a whole lot of rot but enough to concern me.

Should I harvest now or just cut out the rot?

Just cut the rot out and be generous with the cut to prevent spreading from unseen spores.

Yup just cut out the rot and salvage as much on top as you can.
