HELP! Starting to flower...help!!!

This is our first time to grow. We've entered the flowering stage and about the same time started noticing yellow leaves, increasing daily. We thought it might be low nitrogen, so today we gave it an organic Bio-Fish 7-7-2. In the 3rd photo, you'll see a rust pattern up close that is also starting. Is any of this normal for the flowering stage? The plants are very healthy looking, no bugs. They have been getting organic compost tea every 2 weeks. I would appreciate any advice from seasoned growers.

Close to harvest it can be normal. However i suspect you have ph issues causing molybdenum deficiency or lockout. What is ph of water/nutes? Early symptoms are similar to nitrogen def. with reddish pink in later stages. https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabi...num-deficiency


Btw flowering cannabis does not like lots of nitrogen so stop giving it the bio fish and give nutes more in line with flowering.

I am no expert but i have had similar issues when i first started growing and my problem was fixed when i got Gh Calimagic but if you are organic you would need some other source of calcium and magnesium.

It could possibly be calcium def, but it looks more like molybdenum to me. Cal def is like random rust spots. This is more of a reddish patterned following the veins of the plant which is more in line with molybdenum deficiency.

I know it’s a big deal with food these days but I’ve noticed a common theme from new growers being all organic until they start having issues. I’m not trying to sound like a jerk or say you can’t grow a healthy plant all organic but if you want to grow quality bud on your second grow put your plant on a feeding schedule from the start and always check your ph. There’s some really good articles on this site covering nutes and you can print off the schedule for each brand.

yeah i agree it does not look like calcium and looks like molybdenum i was just going off what my plants did before i got calimagic they would start going yellow with a few leaves and then started locking out everything else during flowering and late veg had me confused for sure but when i added calimagic everything stayed green for me no rustic leaves and yellowing.

no worries Shankemdirty ! When someone says rust color spots the first think I think of is calcium deficiency as well. It is super rare to have molybdenum deficiencies in soil so usually is not the first or second guess. I have seen it enough just before harvest in coco and hydro when i do plain ph'd watering that it has left an impression on me cause i thought it looked cool. But to have it early in flower and in soil is rare and not a good thing usually.
