So this is my first grow, many mistakes were made because that's how I learn. I'll make this as short as possible: Sativa 100 liters DWC 2 air pumps 200w light on vegetative stage, after that added 600w HPS. Vegetative stage was 2 month as I couldn't get my hands on the right lamp for flowering at the right time, the plant got so big even before flowering it was 1.2-1.4 m. Now it's week 14 and 3 weeks since I'm only changing water with no extra nutes added. It started shooting white pistils all over the buds now and I'm not too sure if I'm too late for harvesting or if I should still wait more time. I'll upload a couple of pictures for you to get an idea. Please help, I would appreciate any advice.

OPtus have you checked your tricholmes for amber ,the white pistils in the 5th picture do indicate that its going back into veg its called foxtailing (they dont always indicate the plant is going into veg sometimes foxtailing is a genetic thing ) so checking your trics is important at this time if they are more cloudy with a few amber chop them if they are cleat to cloudy leave them hope that helps, for a first grow you did fantastic ,nice looking buds

Howdy optus, Looks like You are a quick learner. I grow in DWC in ten gallon totes and some advice that I can give You is to wrap the bottoms of the totes with bubble wrap to help keep the water temperatures down. I also add ice bottles (as needed) to keep the water temperature between 62° F and 70° F.
Good luck with Your grow.

Thank you for your advice and kind words oldjarhead100, I've checked trichmoes for amber and 50% on the tops are amber, as you go down, since the plant came out to be very tall and even though I had 2 lamps- most of the bottom buds are milky. I reckon it's time to cut them :)

Hey DW2, Thanks for your reply. It's quite cold where I live at unfortunately, I was actually worried the temperature maybe too low for roots (it gets below 62° F at night). Have you always been doing DWC or did you use any other method?
I really enjoyed this little project I did, but to be honest with you I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had about 7 seeds germinated and I knew some of them were autoflowers from seedbank, and some unknown origin seeds lol I was hoping for a short and quick to bud indica– at max 3.5 month. It's been 5 month now and in all fairness I think it's time for it to be harvested :) Wish me luck, I'll upload some final results in a couple of weeks

optus, many years ago I tried to grow in soil, but it never turned out. I was beginning to think that I could not grow mold in the fridge! (LOL!). I've just finished my eight DWC grow and have had very good results from the bag seed and advice from GWE and others. The last two grows got from 12.8 ounces of bud and 11.2 ounces of bud. This yield with the trim (I do not like to waste anything usable) carries Me thru the year. I also found that by making capsules with cured, ground, and baked weed tends to last a little longer than smoking it. It takes a little longer to feel the effects, but lasts longer.
