Ha, I used to go through gallons of Star San when I brewed beer. My wife uses it for sanitizing fungus growing chambers, but I've never used it for cannabis. I also grow in coco so no experience with sanitizing DWC. For cleaning I use a general spray cleaner on all surfaces followed by some Dr Zymes (citric acid mostly). This seems to do the trick and keep the nasties away, but cannabis is much more forgiving that wort regarding sanitization practices.

Howdy gogettalif, I always used an overnight soak in a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water, then a rinse and another overnight soak in a 50/50 mix of chlorine bleach and water, then a final and thorough rinse in plain tap water. To clean the air stones, I first soak them in the 50/50 water and vinegar mix, rinse, and then soak them in H2O2 for a couple of days. If I'm going to reuse the hydroton pebbles, I soak the in H2O2 as well. I found that it was very difficult to rinse out the bleach solution from the pebbles because they are so porous.
