Spider mites

Been dealing with mites in my greenhouse grow as usual but the last week or so their numbers have exploded. Been spraying Capt Jacks but it's not doing much apparently. Ordered some predatory mites today so that should knock their numbers down. Figured I'd take some videos for people who have never seen the little bastards. They are the main reason I'm a firm believer in bud washing for outdoor grows.

Thx for the pics...errr vids...I have never seen one of the little critters moving around. I was wondering if GIFS and Vids could be posted with the forum upgrade. Way cool.

Man, seeing them actually move around like that really makes the case for bud washing! 😬 Good luck with the predatory mites, keep us updated on if they clear them out

So I've got more info on the mite situation. I asked AI to identify the species, which i should have done first. Turns out i already have predatory mites. The smaller clear ones are the predators. The distinguishing features to look for are the extended front legs and antenna for finding prey, clear bodies with dark patches ( which are other mites in their digestive system), tear shaped bodies ( the plant eaters have more rounded bodies), and they move a lot quicker than the plant eaters. So if you have a microscope and see these guys they are the good guys. I'm not a huge fan of AI but I've got to admit it can be dammed convenient at times.
