Thanks Bowhunterwoody. I can’t wait to plant more photos, it’s weird though, how slow going it is compared to autos, i keep expecting more in only a few days. It is much more of a relaxed Grow though, im loving that

Calling all experts…
when do you stop giving nutes to your photoperiods? I don’t subscribe to the “flushing theories†Because the only actual scientific trial showed no difference in taste, smell or potency. Actually the blind testers preferred the unflushed buds every time soo I’m really asking about my plants needs. If you have a moment please share your opinion on when to stop.. if it’s a set timeline or if it has to do with trichome color?

I just feed every other watering usually every three days. Then when I get close I try to time it so it's just water on the last and let it drink it all. No complaints from my relatives and friends.

I do autos in coco and have harvested the same day I gave nutrients. My personal opinion is it doesn't make a difference.
But about flushing.
[USER][/USER], flushing is drenching your medium until water flows out the bottom. More than if you water to runoff during your grow. Is that what you mean by flushing?

I always thought errant hairs were beard or pet. Umm... the only way I can ask if you have a beard without being rude and asking if you have a beard is asking what sort of pet you have. You'll either tell me you don't have a pet, and I'll know, or you'll tell me what sort of pet you have, and I'll know.

DabberDog 🤣i dont know if it’s cuz I’m high af but that had me laughing… No beard lol i mean I’m a woman and we have hair but not enough to grow some muttonchops, the occasional pluck might be needed but I’m Italian and Spanish so it’s my genes. I have cats (rescued) was always a dog person but my dude passed last year and I’m not ready. I also have two rescue bearded dragons… hairless so no beards. It’s usually cat hair or fibers from me leaning into the bud trying to reach. I stopped doing that but what’s there is there. The bud is sooooo sticky, the leaves wont even fall when pruning.

No I'm not flushing. I'm in soil so i just water to as little runoff as possible either with nutes or water. I've always been under the impression flushing is 3x the pot size of pH'd water.

Bowhunterwoody that’s exactly what i have been doing. This is my 5th plant and second grow so i was just going by what i tight made sense to me. DabberDog yeah that’s what i meant and I’ve flushed here and there if my plant showed me it needed it but i was referring to “Flushing†thing people preach about doing before harvest. What I’ve taken from all the “research†is it’s not based on anything notable. To me, cant hurt to feed it reg water a week or two before harvest but i didnt know if i was losing out on quality by not feeding it. But i don’t know anyone in my life that grows other than you guys so i bug you guys and hope you take pity and share some wisdom

I keep the nutrients going until the chop. I use a reservoir in my system though so it might not be the same.
I typically do not flush before harvest. I have experimented to see if I could tell a difference in the buds. I couldn't so I don't.
I will flush a plant that has lockout. That seems to help.

If you have any advice for my tips, I’D LOVE IT! i dimmed the lights and switched to 11 on 13 off. Also gave it two waterings of plain water Ph 6 - 6.3 because my runoff PPM was 2,000. i figured the night i spaced out and never even ph’d a feeding caused a nute lock and turned into possible nute burn from the nutes building up in the soil. It’s been about a week or two since i tried to address the taco and tips… not to be confused with D.Taco titts 😲😆😂

How can I not say something about that runoff?!?!!!??!! It's all I can think about!!!!!!
But only because the liner I have leaks like a sieve with a hole in it. Mine is absolutely worthless except it makes for easy clean-up come end of harvest.
