Sour Diesel Finishing Early

I am growing Barneys Sour Diesel for the first time and I am not confident in my trich reading. I have a lovely plant going, I will surly grow this one again and I am using FloraFlex nutrients for the first time. I like it a lot so far, its better than Jacks but I have mostly cloudy trichomes on the calyx already, is it possible the nutrients speed up the flowering time? I am smoking some dried but not cured now and its a nice buzz, I am not easily distracted which is what I want. I have a dozen or so clones growing in a SOG so if I do harvest to early I have a good back up. In all my years of growing I still have no confidence in my judgement of when to harvest.
What do you think? This may be the one that makes me buy a digital microscope with a stand

I think you should trust your judgment. They look good from here. You can see the trichs better than we can and if you like the effects then go for it. There is always the option of a staged harvest. I never grew out a plant and then tossed it because I didn't like it. I have found the digital microscopes take some work to get a good pix but a loupe will give you a good view with little effort.
 
I had trouble getting a clear view of trics until I got a digital microscope. It was a game changer for me. Also comes in handy to search for pests, and just to play with.

What I'm getting at is the leaves in the picture are crisp. The flower is blurry. Witness protection or something. Fine looking dope leaves but can't see the money.
 
Those are spider mites from my greenhouse grow this past summer. Thankfully I've never had them indoors. The Borg!
 
If you have a decent phone camera take a picture fully zoomed in , once you get a clear picture (which may be tricky without a tripod or something), zoom in on that picture. With today’s camera quality that is often enough to see the trichomes, no microscope needed.
 
Yes I have a loop and at 30X i see a lot of cloudy trichomes but the buds are still swelling. I will let it go another week and see what it looks like every day
 
That photo you posted is badly out of focus.

I have a USB microscope thingy, it's not great. Phone works best most times at 3x zoom then zoom in.
 
One thing that works well is putting an old lens from something like a projector or use the loupe, put it against the camera in the phone. It gives tunnel vision but the center is a sharp image.
 
Hey Allenpro, this is the digital microscope I use. Got it a couple years ago on Amazon for around 20-25 bucks i think. It comes with a stand but I usually free hand it. The easiest way I've found to get good pics is put the bud or leaf on a hard surface that you can rest your elbows on to steady your hands. The only complaint i have for this microscope is the dial to adjust the magnification is kinda tight and it's impossible to hold steady while adjusting. But for the price it's a very handy tool.

I have one of those and the only way I can make it work is if I cut off what I am looking t and put it on the platform. I would prefer to check them before I cut them off. SO I am back to the old 30X loop and my stand by routine of waiting 2 weeks after I think they are ready before I chop
 
I have a similar microscope and I turn off all my fans and use a Jerry rigged camera tripod to hold it over the plants.
I’ve posted pics of the setup somewhere here at some point, maybe in the microscope thread from awhile back
 
Thanks everyone, a lot of creative growers on here. I have decided to stop over thinking it and use the good old 30/60 loop and my best guess judgement, I think growing is part science and a small part guess work and that has worked for me for a long time
