Sounds Like a Bad Idea

Not an expert by any means but I think it is fair to say Here We Go Again. More scientist looking for some face time, credit etc. They are going to build a giant Reflect Orbital Mirror and put in in orbit; the FCC has give them the ok. This will enable them to reflect sun light down on earth during dark hours.

The title of the article is "This Sounds Like a Bad Idea" .Agreed.. The company doing this is Reflect Orbital Inc.

To many scientist doing really bad things to get some Face time or credit. The only thing many of them probably ever grew was a Chea Pet with no idea how dimming Sun Light during the day effects and confuses plants, Crops etc.

Oh MAN did I need to jump on this! Ain't been on the forum in a minute, but I had to.
What we are talking about is an orbital solar death ray. The plot of a pantheon of superhero stories, even double-oh-seven foiled the dude with the golden gun.
The people who have given this the green light are like the dope smoking Mulder and Scully of the FCC. The fringe conceptualists who wake up the next morning and say, 'Shit. What did I get myself into? No more mixing 'shrooms and acid.'
Of course, we all know the FCC is a government agency, yeah? What else is a government agency? The military. Put them together and the US military is obviously telling the FCC to allow development of the OSoDeaRy. The first time Reflect Orbital melts a couple lab mice in a concentrated beam of photons out in the Mojave, the military will jump in and take it. The only time this sounded like a good idea was when I was 8 and read it in some comic book.

Now I'm intrigued. I definitely want to see this thing melt a mouse. Then maybe a car. Lots of cool things we could zap and see what happens.
 
I have heard this idea mentioned before but it was on a much larger scale then a back yard. This is the test run for them. Would not be surprised if they devise a way to make some one pay for dark hours. The article stated the light would be brighter then moon.

I really think most of the so called scientist have no clue about growing, or what plants and trees require daily.

Just wanted to put this out there.
 
OK do we really need to increase the earth's naturally "balanced "temperatures? Do we really need to increase the light exposure to the earth for private equity (solar farms)?? How about increasing the efficiency of solar panels?
 
Hello? Global warming? Yeah, it's a natural process, been happening... forever. But we're accelerating the process through other means. My godless, man! Cow farts!!! What's one more? Maybe we can further exasperate the process on the double-time through the warming and get back to some good ol' fashioned global cooling. Man, I sure would dig some global cooling! The jewels sure got some condensation these days.
The vampires are sure going to be ticked about the extra light, but who gives a fuck about vampires, anyway? Werewolves will be similarly confused.
 
You’ll shoot your eye out..or burn it out..sounds like a bad idea. Modern technology. I’m still amazed and baffled by fax machines.
