Agree with you Nicky.
It would actually be better just with a end date.
But again. Still if you have the end date, it’s One man personally chooses to pick the strain. If I have and end date, I wouldn’t pick a 120 days auto. But a 70-80 days strain, also thinking about the pot size in this challenge.

Lol@SoOrbudgal! If you're getting same weather as up here, your outdoor grow is going to finish as Christmas trees! Omg, it's pouring cats, dogs, pigs and a few chickens. I'll try to keep this shit up here :P
 
I think a solo cup would cause massive root bind.
Why not do a 1 gallon max pot size, auto only, any grow medium and method, end date and submission due 1/1/21?

Keeps things simple, plenty of time, and plenty of control variables to make things a bit more fair to those that would have to order seeds to participate in the fun.
 
Ok, so should we do a 1 gallon container challenge instead? Lets set the end date to new years eave and folks can start whenever they want. Sounds good to everyone? Im in for whatever, just enjoying the community and the fun of sharing grows, pictures and get inspired by you guys!

There is 128oz. to a gallon my folgers grow holds 51oz of soil. Mine did fine had no issues much at all with those. Eliot Pryor the bottom will tell you most the time how big it is from there i gotta look it up on conversion table. swegrow just make a post and say the rules of starting, how big the container a gallon or less? and the end date.
 
Me too, should be interesting. Smallest final pot before that was a 2 gallon for me so I'm curious to see what I can get out of her. I thought about starting one now too, for some practice, and because I have room right now.
 
Cool I have one of those deep coffee containers. I think last time the end date was when they sent in pics for judging. Finish date for harvest has to be up to the plant.
 
I may try the Cheese XXL. It has about an 80 day harvest time so I think it may be too long for the contest. I think I'm either going to use a Space Mango or a Critical Orange Punch for it.
 
For us overseas I find that a US Gallon is 3.7 litres. (A UK Gallon on the other hand is 4.5 litres.. If you wonder :) )

So a 3.7L/ 1 gallon pot it is and we start NOW and the one with the highest yield off of 1 single plant by 31/12/2020 is the proud winner and the growmaster-extra -ordinaire! Good luck to yall!

Good strain to use for sure.
I did I fat banana auto on 8 weeks outside. If I can do it on 8 weeks, outside I should be able to do it inside on the same time frame. But in a smaller pot, would be interesting 🤔
 
You are correct with conversion. I'm so excited LOL this is almost 4 months and any genetics auto or photo will do?

This I dry weight right ? All the harvest and the drying should be done here? Correct :)
Or this is the final day for chopping down the little auto tree ?
