I had my first chance to try out the Solis tek safety features. I turned down my in line fan to the low setting to put water in the res. After I finished I must have forgotten to turn the fan back up!. Within 5 min. the control unit sensed the bulb was getting a little hot. It shut itself down I guess to protect itself. I discovered my mistake as soon as the light turned off itself. At first I thought the bulb failed I was worried. I turned the in line fan back up to full speed and within 5 min. the bulb just popped back on full!. (WHAT A RELIEIF). ANYWAY, MY PLANTS DRANK A FULL GALLION OF H2O LAST NIGHT. I replaced the fluid with 3/25 a gal. of 45% nutrients (mix) and 1/25 gal. of ph. water. The bulb is shining bright again. I guess the power unit checks the impedance rate of the bulb automatically from time to time, And shuts down if there is a problem. I guess it works huh?
