I have some soil questions.

I have two kinds of soil and am wondering what proportions I should use. One is organic potting mix with Mycorrhazae (containing some peat moss, humus and sand) and the other is an organic triple mix of peat moss, humus and compost (0.1 0.1 0.1)

Also, since my filtered water pH is 8, I intend to use some dolomite lime I bought earlier. I realise I could use pH drops; however, I would like to keep the situation as friendly to the soil microbiome as possible. I am concerned, however, about the possibility that the dolomite lime might provide too much magnesium.

Any thoughts on any of this? Thanks!

The dolomite lime will raise the PH, sulfur reduces it, I use pelleted on both for a slower release. Peat moss is about 3.5 PH
What is the PH of both soils?
I dont now anything about these bagged soils, other than what I read, they may contain bugs you dont want. Avoid time released Nitrogen in them,
I build my own from scratch.

Too much chemistry for me. I use a mix of 40% Black Cow composted manure, 40% organic potting soil and 20% soil from a previous grow. It is inexpensive and has always worked for me. I do use PH down as necessary.

I read that dolomite lime can stabilise the Ph of soil that is either too alkaline or too acidic. Maybe that info was wrong? What would you recommend as a way to stabilise soil that is watered with filtered water whose pH is 8 (assuming the soil pH is neutral) ? I could pH down the water; however, as I'm planning an organic grow with no nutrients - don't judge me - I want to avoid using pH down so as not to affect the soil microbiome.
