Smoke in the sky

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I wonder if anyone has seen any discussion about the possible positive or negative effects of a smoky sky on outdoor grows? I think the redness of the sunlight may be beneficial to my plants this year. Flowering is going great at least, and have had many smoky days this summer. Any thoughts?

It's going to have some effect, possibly helping them mature just a bit earlier, I'm more worried about the two days of 30° weather coming starting tomorrow, calling for snow in my area but I'm only about halfway through flower, should be interesting.

Wow 30° and snow that is gonna be hard on em. We are going to have a cold front come through starting Thursday it's supposed to get down in the 90s... Sorry for making light of your potential disaster but I had to try and laugh a little. We've been so damn hot it's been hard on my girls, nearly 110° for a month I'm welcoming this cooler temps.
Maybe you can try to insulate them a little I've used straw bales. Break em up and pile it around the bottom so the ground doesn't get to cold, even had to wrap em up with plastic or like a shade canopy over the top

Glad mine are already inside. We're supposed to get snow starting in just a few hours and the high is supposed to be 51 tomorrow. Looking forward to the cooler weather but not at the same time.

I'm keeping my head up and not worrying about it too much, I've had seedlings live through three snows and I've got fingers crossed that the cold drives the aphids off my plants. Luckily I'll be home for it, I'll shake the snow off them and keep a watchful eye. If they were closer to finished I would have been up all night harvesting, but most of them wouldn't produce anything useful yet.
