Small containers

I see a theme with the tonne of "my first plant is almost dead HELP me out" threads. Small containers and or multiple transplants. It kinda goes against the spirit of GWE but damnit people buy a suitable home fire your kids already.

too funny OzBud - and others just throw a seed in a Styrofoam coffee cup for kicks - and being a weed they start to grow - and panic sets in.

Canuck, that sounds like me last Spring. I was given some bag seeds and was curious to see if I could grow. I'd had a vegetable garden, so I had some knowledge about growing plants, and 6x6 pop up greenhouse for stealh, and started the seeds in April. After 2 months, I had these beautiful plants, untopped, untrained, Christmas tree shaped plants. Only then did I go online to see what was next. With all the information I found, I ended up setting up a make shift tent with CFL lighting, and brought the plants in for flowering on a 12/12 schedule.

Now I'm on my 4th grow and feel as if I've moved out of the 'newbie' category. My best grow to date was 1.45 oz from one plant. My 2017 resolution is to produce a 4 oz plant - even though I'm going to stay with CFL. I still have a lot to learn but I'm greatly enjoying the journey and having this community and GWE as a resource.
