Slow growth? First experience

Ragged

Hello everyone, I am a neophyte, I would like your opinion. They are two green gelato auto plants of rqs, the smallest currently has 29 days the largest one has 31 days, do you think they are lagging behind with growth? Another thing, to switch to 250w hps light, how do I understand if the plant has started to bloom? Do you think the biggest one is in bloom? Thank you for your help, I list my setup.

Grow box 1x1x2
Light (250w mh veg) (250 hps blom)
18lt pot
Temp max 27 (light on) min (23 light off)
Humidity max 58% min 50%
20h on 4h off

Ps.
The leaves have no nutritional deficiency, and the plants were born in those pots. In the 4week I started the lst technique and fertilized with potassium and zinc.

Dont change the light just yet, I would wait til' white hairs appear then snap your hps in and introduce bloom feed (keeping N in their diet! For a couple more weeks)

Plants look good but not in flower yet. Won’t be long until pistils show. I used a 250W HPS from seed all through veg and no issues. Upped to 600w for flower.

I keep the vases close because the light is positioned in the center, do you think I should move them a bit away?

You'll want something at least twice the size for anything worth the time and effort you're going to be putting in. My smallest tent is 2x2x4' and I use it mainly for seedlings and clones. It's possible to grow in my tent but the plants would be tiny. Same thing you will run into, except I think a 250W light would be perfect for a 2x2x4'. With a 1x1x2' you may be able to squeeze a quarter, maybe half ounce plant. By the time all is said and done you've already wasted a few months for a tiny bit of weed. Smallest I usually see people using on here to go all the way to harvest with is a 3x3x5' or a 2x4x5'. The light position is fine, most people only have one light right in the middle and plants are as close as they can be.

thank you for this answer, I generally cultivate outdoors, this indoor experience I made it mainly to have weed to smoke even in the colder months, I don't have high expectations at the moment. however I will evaluate in the future for an upgrade. thank you very much.
