Silica, when to stop Feeding

Hey guys I’m using raw silica as a supplement to my grow. Fox farms from what I can tell doesn’t offer a silica additive so I went this route. My question is for those of you that use silica when do you phase it out. The manufacturer of the silica recommends until the end, but they also claim it won’t effect PH and it makes it go up .3 when I add it, so I’m skeptical. I’ve seen other feed charts recommend just a few times during the entire grow. Thanks

I use mine until flush, but scale down as the flowering goes on. My silica raises the pH substantially so I try to keep it to half strength anyway. 2¢

Advanced Nutes instructions are weeks 1-6 of flower only I followed this myself. But each is line different.

UrbZ It was a comment that you made at some point which convinced me to get and use silica. I also mix it per your instructions.
Thank you - My plants and I love it!

Hey 99, yeah I use RhinoSkin, from Advanced Nutrients, it does a great job to. But only use it the first month or so, when they are young.

Ahh gotcha. Just had me wondering. I kinda feel like with silica it really doesnt matter when you use it anyway. The plant uses it at all stages of life and once it is in the plants cells it doesnt come out.

Thanks everyone for the info gives me an idea going forward I’ll probably just continue until flush time. Sounds like that is the common practice. I’m really curious why fox farms doesn’t make a silica product, They certainly would’ve gotten my money for it since I like to keep everything the same. Unless of course I’m just missing it, grow shop guy didn’t think they do either though.
