Should it stay or should it go?

I must had been too stoned when planting. Somehow I got a Golden Tiger and a Chem Dog in same hole when planting. Golden Tiger on left and Chem Dog on right. I have G.T. in another pot already. These are in a 50 gallon cloth pot in happy Frog soil. I am afraid if I move it now it could die and I do not want to harm the C.D. Should the G.T. stay or should it go?

Hi desertdan, I would see this as a personal choice. Me I believe more weed is better then less. With that said I would exercise one of two choices.

1) clip the one you have a backup to
2) transplant when need to a larger pot and training them to grow away from each other. Worst case scenario down the road you would have to exercise option one for space or viability
I would try to separate you could kill both that's how I'd see.
 
Skin the sides facing each other and tie them together...Graft them together...Will be very cool...

Other than that...one must go

I would like to transplant the G.T. but I am afraid I might harm the C.D. To tie them together might be one cool experiment but I think the sativa might overwhelm the Chem Dog.
 
I think I will try and grow hem together with lots of training. They are in a 50 gallon pot after all. The G.T. probably will need more trimming and training. Should I secure them together? Grafting is beyond my current abilities.
 
Good idea Green. There is plenty of room to do so. The pot is about 40" diameter. I should had thought that myself. I will train them horizontal and then let them grow up. Thanks Green.
 
You would of gotten there man!! Looking forward to this one as well.. I'm guessing they are Photoperiod girls outside so we will get to watch them for some time to come, huh...sweet
 
Yeah, the G.T. at least another 6 months and the dog should be about another 4 or 5 months. Time to get some size.
 
They could be separated pretty easy. Just dig both up together and slowly take the soil away from the roots and replant them. If left together one will become dominant.
 
I would say, 50 gallon pot?!!! Wow, that's plenty of room for two mega plants.
Since you won't have to do any transplants or something I see no point in killing any of them, just train them to grow away form each other... I mean, let them grow a couple of nodes, maybe a foot, Lst or supercropping them in a 45 degree angle from each other, maybe support 5hem with plant support sticks, clean off all undergrowth - so that they have no leaf or branches grow below this node... That would do the trick!

If you know what you are doing they would be easy to separate. Possibly not even tearing a root off of either one. It will not hurt anything if a few little roots do break. You just dig up both plants at the same time and shake the soil loose really gently. I've separated plants much smaller than that and transplanted them.

They can be grown together but one will become dominant and be larger. They will not share equally.
 
Dan I think at the age of the plants the roots should not be very big if you dig them up you can gently wash away the soil from the roots as you do this they should separate and then you can replant both .but the grafting thing sounds cool
 
DD, I had two seeds in one pot in my hydro setup, and they both made it to harvest. Sounds like your pot is large enough to accomodate both of em: LET THEM LIVE!!!!!
 
It is kinda like conjoined twins. They need to be separated so they both can live their best lives. Modern gardening has come to far not to.
