Should I water to run off? How far along am I?

First time grow here, and i am really enjoying this. I recently switched the soil out two weeks ago to FFOF and 420 soil. They have been on a EOD feeding with about a gallon and a half of water. With me being maybe 2.5 weeks into flowering. Do you normally water them till run off? or just enough where very little water runs off if that makes sense? Normally, i do 1.5 gallons and get about 15% runoff maybe or a little more. The little huckleberry plant is finally doing better after I flushed her earlier in the week. She wasnt able to handle the soil from the looks of it. They seem to be drying out faster in the 5 gallon smart pots now. Thanks!

Your plants look really good and green it's time to slow down the amount of nitrogen and give more PK percentages. I water my pots till just about 20% like your doing i don't really pour gallons on them until near harvest then i like to flush real good lots and allow it to dry way more than when it's growing just so that it cannibilizes it's own inner goodies. I allow them if they will some don't but i like them to get really yellow fans not suger leaf that would be way bad in my thoughts.

I just noticed the part about fresh new soil i wonder does that have any additives fish or guano poop in it?
 
Fox Farms Ocean Forest has a blend of aged forest products, sphagnum peat moss, earthworm castings, bat guano, fish emulsion, and crab meal.
 
Ahhh so the reason for the deep green. Well never run that soil but mix sounds close to what i make for my plants and my soil tends to go blahhhhh after about 3months then i'll feed N if needed bat guano fish poop juice.
 
lol SoOrbudgal idk why but the phrase "bat guano fish poop juice" made me giggle. Makes perfect sense, but my juvenile mind read "poop juice" and i lol'd
 
I wasnt being picky, i thought it was funny and accurate! Sure "tea" sounds more professional but i like to laugh!
And i may be a lil high...
 
Me too Tersky i know your enjoying the babble i type LOL. Heck my hubby is 72 i'm 63 we always giggle about farts we do silly sounds when we watch deer squat to pee or poop, our grand kids love it LOL:big-smile:
