Should I try main-lining?

Hi, I'm in the middle of a grow (3rd week flowering) and did research for my next grow, a strain called blackjack (already have the seeds) and it's going in my garage which will get hot over the summer with lights on at night. I like the article about main lining, can I do it with 8 colas in a 3x3 grow room? I have a 600w viparspectra (274w actual draw) and I have 4x 4 ft t5 lights 226w draw. On my current grow I have 5 coco plants and it's pretty tight in there, do you think I could fit 4 blackjacks with 8 colas using the mainlining technique? if now what do you suggest, should I just top it so it has 4 coloas or leave it alone?

Also, while the 5 plants finish flowering can I plant 4 seeds in dixy cups and let them grow for 4 weeks under 12/12 lighting?

Also again... the article about main lining says it's good for short areas but I have about 3 feet for the plant to grow before it gets dangerously close to the LED light, so can I get it tall for a bigger yield?

You should be able to fit 4 in a 3x3. You'll fill the entire space wall to wall.

You could veg plants under the t5 in another area though while you finish up your current grow with the LED

I agree but the problem is the t5 light takes up about 6 inches from the horizontal 3 feet (3 for light 3 for light burn) do you think I'll do ok? I might take out the t5 and just grow them in my garage like you said, it's a extra 5 weeks saved, but can I just grow them outside (california) in a dixie cup with coco coir and put them in the 7 gallon pots with LED and t5 lights in 5 weeks do you think that'd work too? I want my plants to have as much light as possible while they're in their most important stage.

By taking them outside then bringing them in you risk bringing bugs inside. I'm paranoid about bugs :)

Looks like you have enough light for 4 plants.

Well I would be taking them outside the grow tent, so technically in the garage but I've heard cricets in there I just don't think there's plant-eating insects in there. How else can I start growing them?
