Should I put black felt over the ducting.

Hi all, I was wondering should I put some black felt over the ducting connected to the extractor fan?

I dont think is needed for the extrator as it blowing out. The intake however it help avoid dust entering your tent.

Hi strainsgrow that's what I thought and as I have a carbon filter even if any bugs got in it would just stay in carbon filter, I think. The 2 intake holes I just cut a fabric pot and sellotaped it around the ducting.
