short plants

I am a new grower 2nd grow sorta waiting for the drying period to be over for results. But second grow is the same as first short plants. I have 2x4 grow tent 1000w and new 1200 w phlizon leds with coast of maine platinum grow medium. after 4 weeks they still are small. They are 2 different phenos from khalifa kush that I got from a 1/2 OZ. from a store in DC. What am I doing wrong. Been looking for answers on the internet but not to much on short plants. Need help on this little 2nd grow.

Not all strains get big, in fact some stay rather small.

Short and fat is what you want. The last pic is a nice plant small but nice. Are they auto?

Bigger pot = more roots = bigger plants

I deliberately choose my strains to grow short, bushy plants with a maximum height of 80 to 100 cm. They fit better in my enclosure and are easier to maneuver and work with. I use three gallon fabric pots. You appear to be using one gallon or less. Also how high (elevation) are your lights? I shoot for 18 to 22 inches above the growth.

The small one I have been thinking of going to a 5 gallon pot or is that to much for the little one.

The smaller one is a gallon the other is 5 gallon. I will be changeing the smaller to 5.

Sounds like you have plenty of light and they're not auto. We're getting closer... you are not allowing them enough time for veg and or they can't support more veg because they are not in enough soil with limited roots a plant can't get enough moisture and nutrients to grow

Changed the smaller plant to a 3 gallon Man there was a lot of roots around the inside. Didnt believe that would growthat quick. Hope the roots will be okay may take a day or 2 to find out . And after thinking about it being Auto I have no way of telling since it came from a bag I bought at the DC Dispensary store. Maybe auto

For future if you pull a pot off of a plant and it's massively root bound take a sharp knife and cut a x across the bottom to free the twisted roots and if they go all the way up the sides really bad just cut down the sides 4-6 times all the way around the out side
