Selective Defoliating my Photos

Just did some very selective defol on one of three to open up some bud sites that were in shadow. I do this often as part of my program of manifolding to get as many bud sites exposed to light as possible. I take a few here and there as needed on all three. In doing so I noted some sap oozing from a clipped stem and from a leaf finger that I took just a part of. i have read this is normal but am wondering about others experience with defoliation. Opinions? The yellowing on the left side of the whole plant is just from the overhead lights.

Yeah, I was sure it would. I had just fed them 2.5 liters of nute solution about 2 hours before so they were sucking it up like little piggies, lol. I've raised pigs for meat, it's just kinda funny cuz you don't really think of plants as reacting so quickly until you get closely involved with them. In my vegetable garden I just throw some water and fert at them and walk away.
