Seedsman is terrible

Toker1 those are all normal questions.

I've had issues with seedsman sending mix ups. I was hoping newguy would remedy that problem. Maybe when I pick them up in person it will help.

I will also ask about your questions while I'm there. I hear you can call and speak to the man himself. Have you tried that route? I would hope he could answer thise simple questions.
 
So if you buy 10 seeds... stable genetics will produce 2-3 phenotypes. If the guy is selling unstable seeds 10 out of 10 seeds can all be different even if they are from the same mother plant in the same harvest.
Since he is not listing any breeders on his website, I assume he is the breeder himself.
What strain did you purchase?
 
Thing is... calling the distributor will always lead to them protecting their companies best interests. I feel much better relying on information from people actually using the products from these companies themselves. It’s best to get a 3rd party opinion who has no political interest vested in me purchasing seeds from someone specific. Those are the best opinions to have imo.
 
The tie dye I am not familiar with and Jack H. Is a funny strain with at least 4 known phenotypes. So you would need about 8 seeds grown side by side to tell if the seeds are is stable for that particular one. :-/
 
Californiakid Shame indeed. I really wanted this experience to work, especially with their low prices and them being nearby. I didn't complain to them about it because it really wasn't worth my time and it wasn't like I lost a fortune lol. Plus, the image they used for the strain I ordered (Blue Widow) looked a bit suspect imo. Looks like they must've grown it in some really low temps or something to be the color they have it there. Still, I wanted to give it a try.

Isn't that how they use to test for witchcraft? Personally I am going to continue paying for the Amsterdam genetics. Thanks for the information Cannabliss.
 
I stand in a weird place with this matter..I first believed in GreenHouse about 10 years ago and i left them very quick only to go back for a single strain. I then decided to venture into autos and i went straight for Fastbuds which has only let me down once (a mini LSD25 plant with 7g only) out of 10 seeds... Im now going back to them to test more strains and after that i want to try some barneys,for the sake of having grown their genetics...I would't order from 420anyguy,it's just a guy trying to make tens of strains!! One Love Genetics barely has google results so im guessing they are also tiny in manpower...

If you want to buy seeds from a site in EU that has mostly every other breeder and their own try zamnesia,try oaseeds or marysseeds ..Not rhino seeds they are very expensive and parrot seeds is kinda like 2 people running an office with seeds...

The choices are infinite in this moment in history....

By the way ,I've had trouble with Herbies too, Very slow. Not very friendly either.Horrible Customer service, also had problems with OriginalSeeds too, never received our order, not buying from them either again.
I've had plenty of seeds not germinate, from a bunch of different seedbanks.
But out of the 7-8autos I've grown from New420Guy, they all have germinated, an were all autos ,not photos.
Trust me on this one BonzaSeeds is not very good either, but at least you get your seeds though, lol
 
Thanks DAAS. But I’m just a hobby grower really... I do look into where my genetics come from. It’s not very difficult to do.
Never had a bad experience with Herbies before. I have 100% germination rates from them so far, only been using them for 5 years now. It’s all about how the seeds are stored.
So are you and Paul really close? Just asking.
 
Toker1, don't even know the man, Ain't talked to him but 4-5times on the phone, but he is a very nice , an friendly dude, just another old pothead, that loves to grow an smoke MJ,, like a bunch of folks.
Plus great service.
 
Sorry desertdan for your aggravation. My one experience with Seedsman was excellent and delivery, super fast. I SENT THEM A CHECK. Thought that would add 2 weeks or more but the order couldn't have come any faster (considering that it was shipped from overseas) or correctly and all my seeds grew into nice plants. Of course, you now make me wonder about placing another order with them. :(

Your gonna get bad seeds every now an then from all of them.
 
Cannabliss, I hate you had a bad experience, all mine have sprouted an grown good, yes he is a nice guy. If you talk to him again ask him to show you his garden, he knows how to grow.
Call him, I'm sure he will send your 3bucks back, lol
If you grow long enough, your gonna get a few bad seed from all of them, I've gotten seeds from plenty of seedbanks that didn't sprout, but BonzaSeeds wins the prise for bad seeds, imo.You might get 4 out of 10 that geminates, but if you ordered autos, your probably gonna get photos for sure.
Hate you had a bad experience though.
Hes just a man trying to get his new business going, he might have had a bad day. I don't mind one bit trying to help a new seed business, get going.
I just ordered from Sos, an Oregon elite seeds, today, but my next one in a couple of weeks is gonna be to get some more HeadBangerauto an Some more WhiteMoscoeautos an BlueHaze from Paul, and a couple of more tshirts, he has some nice tshirts, but they are more than 3dollars though, lol

Not blaming them for trying,nor am i telling people not to buy. In 5 or so years im sure he will be all over google with cup winners (Cup winners aren't meant to be,they happen or they are realized as they grow,get smoked,sold to clients). It's the same reason i wont buy a 2019 seed collection until late 2019! I want the 2nd or 3rd generation of seeds,not the first fresh off the first branch that got them...

Im using the size of the "company" to actually justify his site,his (if any) bad genetics or mood swings,not knock him.If you want guaranteed 99% quality with no mood swings or bad phone call days,you need a company with customer support that is run by someone else rather than the same guy that grows,chops,trims,tests,breeds and sends the packages..All im saying is if you go to a local pub,you might not get the internationally known beer your familiar with nor the chips with the cheese dip...You'll get plain popcorn or reused nuts...

I haven't grown his seeds and i haven't looked into his site for any other reason than to post on here with actually knowing something about this "guy" and i wouldn't knock him if i did and they were shit,coz they cost me close to zero to buy but i do growl at GreenHouse for producing a steady strain of hermies and still not fixing the genetics of an amazing smoke. I paid 9$ a seed from them and they seem like they can afford a shit load of things,including stable genetics...

Im not into cup winners either and tbh fastbuds seems to have a very steady "periodic table" when it comes to genetics and the mixing of those into strains.
They look alike,smells alike,grow alike,eat nutes alike...At least 1 parent or backcross is always the same in their strains,it could even be the Ruderalis who knows...BUT they do have the most potent smoke i've had since landraces got scarce where i am...(And oh were they the best of smokes due to position on the globe)

I also run my grows on budgets,others big others smallers and every once in a while i end up mixing 2 nutes because i don't have enough of just one and i grow in 2$ garden soil but i still get 3-4 oz (with the 600w HPS,hoping the same with the 900w/360w actual LED).
Getting the factors % of success even lower with cheap seeds(as in they actually cost as much as lollies) or new strains without grow reports is like throwing away my last chance of getting a decent smoke for the next 3-6 months..I rely on me solely to get anything other than mexican border shitbag weed and till im settled in my own house or at least one with the space to fuck about,i will continue to avoid "uncertainties" such as 420guy or Bonza or even Zamnesia's seeds.Hell i wont even pop GHS because im worried about hermies...

It's like buying a noname brand of nutes that say CANNANUTES on amazon...They might work,they might not,it's totally up to the grower to risk that buck (if he counts his every buck) and use them or just go with X known brand and get a decent factor for his crop...

D.A.A.S.69 Thanks man, but when too many things go wrong all at once, it raises suspicion on my part. As I mentioned above, this wasn’t about the money. Never was. Hence the reason I didn’t call him back to complain. I don’t know why he sounded so “reserved” when I spoke with him, but whatever, that wasn’t my main concern either. But when you combine it all together, it just doesn’t truly inspire me to go back for seconds. I’m sure once he gets to know you, he’s a nice guy. I’m glad things went well with you and Paul. It just wasn’t the case with me. Calling him back isn't really going to solve anything imo. I'm not trying to create a friendship with the guy. I just wanted some info and a couple of good beans. Who knows; maybe the remaining plant will change my mind in the end. We'll see.
