When do i start giving my plants light. Is it when seedlings start showing proper leafs.

when I put the seeds with tails in root riots I put them under lights, then I let them go until roots are visible then I plant in 1 gallon pots until leafs are at edge of gallon pot then its there forever home

As soon as the cotyledons show I turn on the lights.

There’s a few theories and each depend on what you need/want

the plant will only start absorbing energy when it has green leaves to do so(cotyledons)

however it does get info from the light as in where to grow directionally/ useful for specific training techniques for artistic reasons rather than productivity
