I purchased the propagator pro kit from Nirvana.
It comes with a bag of Bacto--I guess this is some kind of nutriment. The instructions only state: to mix the Bacto with water and then pour 25ml on the perlite.
How much water to add to the Bacto powder,at first, not stated. Anyway, I used it all much to my chagrin--killed my seedlings. Contacted Nirvana and was told of my mistake.
OK, when I asked if I could get another Bacto, the reply: "Sorry Bacto is not sold as a separate product."
My response to the support person was: "How can Nirvana hype a product (Bacto and the kit) and not make Bacto available for continued use? And why isn't this stated in their promotional info?"
Was told (by support person): "I'll take this up with management."
Since then I have used the kit,without Bacto, to successfully germinated seeds. [I do use a heat pad at low setting.]
