SOIL seedling light seched

I've got 10 seedlings in my tent with a 315w CMH. The seedlings are about 2" tall but have been really slow going. Ive had the light on 24hrs. Any suggestions on how to stimulate some growth. should I have some hours of darkness everyday? 20/4 18/6 16/8? shoud I turn the wattage down on the light?

Hey there simpleman. Could you share some more info about your grow? How big the pots are. The age of the plants. Medium. Light distance. Temp. And most importantly a few photos :) it’s very hard to guess without any clues.

Need more information, lots of people use cfls, on seedlings ,
I can dim my 315cmh down to 190watts, but I still use cfls, the first week or so.
Seedlings don't need much light, at all.
Good Luck

here they are. I had the light on 315w 24/7. I switched to 145w and 16/8. You can notice in the pic that the leafs on some are curling down and the tips are burnt a bit.

I transplanted and went to 18/6 at 145w. thanks for the advice because it seems to be working. Another question is when should I got to a higher wattage? Ive got 145w, 215w, 315w, 345w.

Give them a couple week from seed.I learned the hard way how 4" can be a disasterous distance when it comes to lights and seedlings..I could possibly say they have also been either too hot or too close to the lights..Have you read how close to keep your lights ?

Also i would stick with the 315LEC all the way..I was vegging from seed with 600w MH and last spring with 600w HPS!! Now im Vegging with 360w(900w LED) Full Spectrum on @ 1 meter distance..No harm is being done ;)

Some fresh air moving in the room, preferably bouncing off walls till you have a canopy thick enough to battle the wind from a fan blowing over/on/through it. Also ventilate your cubic meters in air out once an hour.

Keep us posted with the girl mate, good luck and happy growing!
