Seed bank question

Ok ladies and gentleman I have a question.... I am looking for a couple of specific strains, I have found them..however they are available through a "bank" I have not heard of. Due to my luck with seeds from bullshit banks I'm trying to do a little more research first. NOT going to throw $$ at them and hope the shit germinates... Have any of you ever heard of i49 seed bank? Supposedly a California based company, however I see Portland Oregon also listed on Google. They have a toll free number also listed for ordering. Google reviews has about 5 reviews, but those can be bullshit as we all know.. I'm tired of buying seeds that don't germinate, or turn out to be males even though they claim to have been feminized.
 
Never heard of them before, everyone has to start somewhere. Maybe a small order at first to try them out. My .02$
 
I use Herbies. They are based in UK so I had to pay with bitcoin. But ships fast! Same with sol seeds. They are US located, so I just mailed them a money order. Nothing but pleased with both of those seed banks!!
 
I have purchased in the past from new420..Exceptional service and product, however he doesn't have the strains I'm looking for.
 
Did that with one other place and so far only 1 seed germinated, and it turned out to be a male...have 3 more soaking, so far I'm 0/22 ...only have that many because they were nice enough to send replacement seeds. I had some faith in them, but don't now.
 
The new 420 guy breeds and sells their own seeds. Most people who bought from them can not tell me if their strains have many many pheno types or only a few. That scares me, because anyone can breed a seed. It’s very easy to do. What is difficult is backcrossing genetics to limit pheno variability and breeding seeds that have a limited number of pheno types.
I am staying away until more information is received about their genetics.
 
I've had good luck with New420Guy seeds, all I've grown is 2autos so far , and they turned out fine, an am growing another auto right now, as for as phenos go, I could care less, all i want are good ,healthy growing plants, that don't take forever, to finish.
I ain't rich, by no means, but 50-60bucks, I ain't gonna lose sleep over, I promise you.

I know I got way more free stuff like t-shirt an free seeds, than I paid for.

I’m sure he is a very nice guy. I’m sure the free product bonuses are great. My only concern is growing an unstable seed for 4 months. After all my work and effort, I want to know what I will have in the end before I begin. If I spend my time and $$$ on this plant for that long of a period in time... I’m not taking a gamble to save $20 on seeds. It’s penny wise but pound foolish.
I can make free seeds that are unstable all day long. People sell them for $1 on creigslist in the Bay Area. My advice, save that dollar and purchase from a reputable bank. Your pocketbook will thank you later.
Btw, I am cloning the seeds I pop...so pheno types are very important to me.
 
I'm glad they are very important to you, so you do whatever you need to do.
I've used damn near every seed bank you can of, some have better service than others like Seedsman, But in the end, they are just seeds, some are not gonna grow, that well, I don't care I good you think you at growing, or what pheno they are.
So by all means, you do what you need to do,I just wanna grow healthy plants, regardless of pheno.

Would u 2 stop heaping praise on each other and just grow weed easy, I think most here
already know about genetics and how some are more desirable or trending at the moment.
Hence, the $$$ difference,weather or not u get what u ordered is left to seed bank to decide.
Always a hint of distrust with what I’ve gotten from seed banks, one mans opinion 😁
 
Wow. Really? When I buy from the seed bank the genetics are sealed inside the breeders package. The bank never touches the hermidically sealed package from the breeders collection. Try buying from a reputable bank and you will see what I mean. Sorry you have experienced something else. Just sucks when you invest all that time and $$$ and don’t produce the highest quality nuggets you are capable of. Happy growing.
