Hey guy,. I have a 5x5 tent with 600 watt mh./hps
Also pineapple led equivalent to a 250 watt mh./hps.
my plants are in 5 gallon smart pots. The screen is 16 inches above the top of the plant.
My question is. Should i put the plants in bigger fabric pots for them to properly fill out the screen . Or can I lower it and start filling it at the height it stands.?

It would depend when you want to flip the plants. I know that most of my strains will have at least a 16" stretch, so you may not want to lower it. I generally try and keep my net about 6 inches above my canopy once I flip it to flower.

If you are going to use multiple layers of scrog net, you can lower it to start spacing it in veg and then the top layer will offer support as it goes through its stretch in flower. Right now though, the branches don't look like they have enough growth on them to be maneuvered into multiple spots in your net.

How long you plan on vegging these plants will determine your final pot size. I usually don’t go 7 gallon unless they’re getting a full 8wk veg. Otherwise you’re just using more medium and water than needed. Your net should also be lowered for a proper ScrOG. I’m not sure what training you’ve done so far but as soon as I pot up to the final pot the go under a screen and start growing horizontally. Check out this member’s tutorial for a grasp of how to ScrOG. Most ScrOG articles are badly written and stay away from the weaving in snd out of the net bs. Just keep tucking everything underneath the screen until the buds are ready to start growing up. I added a couple pics of a plant I started harvesting last night. I like the screen to be just high enough that I can still easily water. Anything higher is wasted space and extra time vegging.
