Scrog

New to scrogging. Just wondering what would happen if I dont top and just bend the plants over instead, keeping them under the screen. Will this hurt my yields? I think it would speed up veg time a little.
By the way I have 4 plants in 5 gal fabric pots. 3x3 tent.

Im going to find out , for reason to long to go into, this years grow got off to a bad start. Between needing to fix it an a root rot problem I decided to just let it grow and start LST or SCROG it if it got out of hand. My thoughts are (Way I use to grow with 2 inch chicken wire for the scrog screen.... you will see some decrease in yield but do not suffer any veg time.
No scientific data to back up my gut, but you should be fine.

I tried 4 way lst last time. It seemed to keep the plant very small.
Thought I would try something different this time.

I am just finishing out my first SCRog, and like you, I was nervous to top. I topped half and LST the rest, for the sake of science 😂
much better results on the topped plants. I’ll get some photos of individual plants later when I’m down there for ya.
Absolutely top those babies!!
