I wanted to let you know that those fasteners that you made from coat hangers can be bought in pkgs of 20 or so for a couple of dollars at a nursery where they sell drip irrigation supplies. They use exactly that type of wire fastener to hold the hoses in place. You can probably find them at Home Depot or Lowe's too.
