Scarlet Grapes and Hot Cakes from G2f

We’re still plugging along here. Sadly had to give up on the Scarlet Grepes, but the super Hot Cakes is booming, and the replacement Hot Cakes is off and running. It seems they were able to handle the hot soil a bit better.
Still have a couple of the ones I culled in seedling pots but I won’t likely continue with them and haven’t been feeding them.
Didn’t do as much training as I wanted , but the big girl is spread out a bit, and should do well as she starting to bud up nicely.
Trying to even out the canopy between plants with a bucket riser could be a bit taller .

Hot Cakes is awesome! They get huge with 6+ oz. yields. Good smoke.

Bit of an update on the Hot Cakes.
The big girl is about 3 weeks into flower and has finally finished the stretch. I was running out of head room so about 10days into flower I had to super crop her to even out and shorten the canopy.
You can see in the first few pics before, after, and a few days later. It’s really amazing how well that works.
I top dressed bloom nutes about 1 week into flower and did a light defoliation/lollypop a couple days ago at about 3weeks.
She’s showing my usual deficiencies likely Potassium, magnesium. I’m going to feed a tea of flower nutes , and probably K-mag (potassium/mag/sulphur), when it arrives in a couple days hopefully it won’t be too late. I should have had it on hand at the beginning of the grow.
The other Hot cakes has had some LST to shape it into the space remaining from its sister and is heading into flower and the stretch. I’ll be able to remove some of the risers soon. I will too dress bloom with added K-mag to try and stay ahead of the problems 🤞

I feed both a Bokashi Bloom tea right away followed a few days later by a flower top dress for both plants with an addition of KMS potassium magnesium sulphate (K-mag) 21.5% K 10.8% Mag
22% S. It is actually the natural mineral Langbeinite.
KMS grinds it super fine for solubility for spraying and fast uptake by the plant regardless of application type. I top dressed and watered in.
It’s 4weeks flower for the big girl and about 2weeks for the younger one. They seem to be looking better or at least not worse, I suppose the damage to the leaves won’t reverse at this point but hopefully they have the food to keep going strong.
I will significantly up my overall feeding schedule next run it’s tricky growing in “living soil†as it’s slower to react if you’re short on food.

Well they stayed hungry much to my dismay. I really wanted this to be a great grow with Going2fast genetics.
Im just riding it out at this point. They are almost in the harvest window. Being short on nutes I find makes them mature slower sometimes. These girls are crawling to the finish line but they’ll get there. I didn’t give them the attention they needed , stupid work taking up all my time.
On the up side, the one plant is a bit of a monster, at about 42†from soil. Both should yield a decent amount of good dope😎. Buds look just fine, and I love getting out of my truck in the driveway and smelling the tent exhaust blow around the house

Those are some really good looking plants,I just planted some of Going2fast seeds myself, I'm very excited

Today was chop day, both came down.
The big girl was a bit too ripe probably about a week late at 40-50% amber, so probably night weed. 105 days
Her smaller sister probably could have gone another few days, but had the annoying 30% amber (what I usually shooting for) and still a lot of clear. 85 days
Unfortunately, my schedule meant it was today of in 7 more days so down they came.
On the rack, hopefully at 60F & 60% RH.
We’ll see, my dehumidifier quit. I had to pony up for a new one but it’s not here yet.
A fun surprise is the runt Scarlet Grapes was growing away in the back of the tent after a stunted start. It’s now 2 feet tall and in flower😆.
she can have the tent to herself for now, won’t get hardly anything off that plant. We’ll see what happens, hard to cull her now.

Well, spindly Scarlet has been fattening up. She’s got a pretty good main kola on her now. Not sure if she’s ready but I’ll have a look with the scope tonight and see. She 106 days from seed. I can smell the tent exhaust outside my house so that’s usually a good sign😎
she’s a bit droopy can’t seem to fix that I assume under or over water but could be temp , not sure I haven’t been able to pay much attention to her

Forgot to add a couple post harvest shots from the Hot Cakes.
I only had time to buck and do a kind of “farmers trimâ€. Leaving a handle at least on each bud for future trimming.
12 days at 60/60 the first couple days I didnt have a dehumidifier available so humidity hovered around 70%. All seemed to be okay, wouldn’t want to try my luck for any longer at that humidity even with small buds
I'm guessing fully trimmed it would be 5 or 6 ounces
