Scared about feeding

My first grow is starting to look like:

Outdoors in 7 gallon grow bags using a high quality soil like FoxFarm. Growing 4 different hybrid strains.

The nursery gsve me a FoxFarm feeding schedule, and now I’m depressed. Part 2, Part 3, what’s the difference? Where is Part 1? How many products do you need to buy to meet this schedule?

So there are basically two types of “grow” organic and hydroponic, yes?

I’m not doing hydroponic for various reasons, simplicity being the main one. So if I’m doing organic (dirt) I’m feeding the soil, and the soil feeds the plant. Is this also correct?

And if I use a new high quality soil (Fox Farm for example) I won’t need any “amendments” for the first few weeks, because the soil should be ready to go. And after that I should only need fertilizer for the veg and flowering phases?

Mm id say, organic and non organic/synthetic.
Haven't had much to do with organic fertilizer but I do know some nutes for hydro can be used in soil, have to be careful with build up in the soil though apparently and definitely half recommended dosage.

IMO The good stuff in the soil will feed the plant and when adding nutes, the soil will hold them for the plant roots to suck up this is where build up can occur or if overwatered, run off from the bottom of pot can wash away stored nutes.

and yes something like fox farm should contain enough food for the first 4 weeks, some super soils claim to be able to support a plant for 8-10 weeks, but I have no experience with pre made super soils yet only what I've made myself for stealth backyard grows.

You are on the right track I think re soil and hydro.

I used soil outdoors. I made it myself by composting stuff and mixing it with the soil I had available in the yard.

The secret to both good soil grow and making compost is mass. Lots of it in other words. I grew in soil for 30 odd years and made my own for less than half that and now I'm growing hydro in coco.

Now that Ive done both Id have to say that I'm not sure which is simpler. Soil is more forgiving especially if growing in garden beds and not pots whereas hydro is quite straight forward until something goes wrong, and something always goes wrong. That's when things get a bit more difficult and perhaps complex to sort out.

Read as much as you can on GWE. It's the best site for info on the net, up to date and follows the latest scientific research and not bro science or old wives tales. It has everything you need to know. Be careful of some of the information on other sites as some of it is total crap, completely false rubbish.
