I have dried buds with dead aphids on them. Like salt
and pepper. Is it safe to smoke re health. Have brushed many off but can’t get all. They are glued on. ?

Howdy Brechin, Most folks would freak-out if they knew just how many different bugs that they ingested every day! If it bothers you, bake the bud first (decarbonize it at 250° F), then anything that might be harmful will be gone. Who knows, maybe 'protein enhanced' pot might be good for you! LOL!!

because if you wash dry buds you going to mess with the dry/cure process and the buds shrink and leaves curl so its harder for bugs to wash off, its just easier i guess

I understand where you are coming from. But I cure for top shelf flavor... not the dead bug flavor. Lol
I don’t think anything is ideal with contaminated final product.

I’ll take all that on board here in The Land Down Under.
Long hot summers here. Good conditions. Only part of plant affected but lots of em. Like salt and pepper but glued on. I’m sure if I share it around no one will complain.

Yes. Thats what I did. Relatively small area badly infested. Disgusting. Soft brush to dust off a couple spots. No washing for me. Clean and green and picked at the end of a blistering hot day. Note compost heap in near vicinity and some problems with ants. now erased.
