Rubber Grommet ok for ice water hash?

I was thinking about putting either a ball valve or a spigot at the bottom of one five gallon bucket to drain things to the other bucket(easier for my back). Would a rubber grommet be too "grippy" for the trichomes? Should I just go with a plastic spigot? If I went with the spigot, would an epoxy be ok to use?

Even if a grommet were a bit sticky, it's so small it couldn't grip much. Sounds easier too.
