I'm in the market for a small or midsize rosin press. Budget is 1000 but would like to stay around 500. Anyone out there got one that they are happy with?
 
If you are near Tulsa look at Skunk Grow, they were on sale a few days ago, and well within your budget. I want one! I luv having this stuff on the shelf!
 
I made my own a couple years ago and definitely saved a bunch of $$$ doing so. All said and done, I was definitely under $400 but maybe even under $300, it's been a few years so I don't exactly remember. I bought the pieces of aluminum online, found a site that you could order custom size pieces and it was rather affordable. I marked all of the holes and had a machine shop drill and tap the holes for me. The only difference is mine is a full size shop press, not a table top style. Nugsmasher mini or og model. Bit expensive but wow it works so good. I have the mini and love it. For bubble hash i might go with the more expensive models tbh.
 
Yeah for sure. I got it at harbor freight tools on sale. The 20ton model is normally around $180 but i got it during one of their big sales for much cheaper. You could definitely find a cheaper one, 20 ton is absolute overkill lol.
 
I want to build my own, but realistically I dont have the time for the build or the space to put a floor press. I work 55+ hrs a week and have just started a perpetual 24 plant grow. My wife would kill me if I tried to put some monster press in the spare room on top of all the other crap I'm doing. I can spend double the money on a ready made press with little to no questions but if I start ordering crap to build one its gonna cost me jewelry or a coach purse or something else that I dont want to buy lol.
 
Cloud I have been browsing the nugsmasher site, so far they are the front runners. I'm thinking the og. I'm gonna look a few more places but honestly I feel like this is the one for me. Lifetime warranty and I was on the site 5 mins and a sales rep sent me a message and then called me apon my request. He answered all my questions and offered me a discount on the top package for the og model. It's a little over the 1000 I was wanting to spend but hey, you gotta pay to play.
 
Hell yeah, got a 6 ton dabpress. So far just smashing cured flower in 3 or 6 gram pucks. Getting great yields too. I have a lot of bubble hash and keef to smash, waiting on the proper micron bags in the mail. Any day now. Making tincture today and having trouble calculating how much decarbed shatter I can add to a fifth of everclear before it can't absorb any more thc. Any thoughts. Also I'll smash some pucks and take some pics for ya.
 
Sorry I don't know shit about tincture yet. I am wanting to get an entry level rosin press soon and that 6 ton dabpress is near the top of the list.
 
I love it, I highly recommend. It has better specs than all machines I saw coming in around 500 bucks. And a lot of em that are 1k.
 
The amber colored dabs are my rosin. The other is qwet from a friend. That puck is 5 grams of hand pressed bud about to get bagged and go into press

That looks tasty. I'm probably going to do some quick wash in a few days myself since I'm running low on shatter & crumble and I don't have a press. What's your preferred way to dab (rig & nail/banger or vape or ?) and what do you think about flower rosin vs nug run or really nice sugary trim quick wash?
 
I love the nectar collector man, I just got a focus v carta and I'm not impressed, it's the best e rig I have ever used but a nice recycler with an e nail shits on this thing. The focus is a winner for portability though. About the rosin or resin debate, I love both. The rosin has that great bud taste but it just won't sit me down like bho or qwet. I'm shopping vac ovens and stuff right now. Next harvest I'm gonna try my hand at some crumble or shatter or both.
